A vertical drum feature gives impact to the building and assists in defining the main public entrance to the building. The secure entrance to custody areas is hidden to the rear of the site, while the public entrance and parking are adjacent to Viewfield Drive and the main building frontage.
The highly insulated building is finished in a modern palette of high quality, long-lasting materials and utilises sustainable timber
frame/roof truss construction where possible and timber glulam columns externally. The building was designed with a narrow footprint to allow natural ventilation to be utilised in all but internal rooms and W.C. areas.
